My cuticles are a mess… I’ve lost my little v-shaped trimmer thing that I normally use every couple of weeks to tidy up the edges before moisturising and my lemony flutter doesn’t seem to be making the difference it once did.

Happy New Year to you Charlotte! Just a quick question regarding the V shaped cuticle trimmer. I’m keen to buy one for my cuticles, but I have no clue how to use it. I’ve had a hunt for a tutorial on how to use it with no luck, do you have any ideas?

@AlicatAHL – honestly, I have no idea how you’re ‘supposed’ to use them… would be great if anyone else knows?
But here’s what I do…
I never use it on the base of the nail, only on the sides near the tip. I just use it to remove any harder skin in that area (and I use it to remove excess nail polish during cleanup). I just usually start halfway up the nail on the edge and work in an upwards direction (same direction as the cuticle rather than working against it – if that makes sense!).
For me, it just trims any hard skin around there and is great on hangnails and the like. Hope that helps!
Would love to hear if anyone knows how to use them ‘properly’!

I really love this cream – I got a sample in a recent zuneta order and its fab – I will def be ordering a full size as soon as my sample runs out… although a little goes a long way!

Oh, I don’t usually moisturize my cuticles, mainly ’cause I just moisturize my hands everyday anyway. I use Astral, which is a somewhat heavy cream (light to me!
) but I have very dry skin. Do people really notice one anothers’ cuticles? I notice nails, for sure, but I don’t really pay attention to every detail of the finger… will people notice if I have dry cuticles…?! Ah… must go try this cream now! Aha
