Subliminal Massages…

Posted by Lipglossiping On June - 6 - 2011

I first fell in love with Tisserand’s Muscle Ease Bath Oil nearly two years ago and it’s been a continual repurchase ever since.

As far as I’m concerned, the Muscle Ease Bath Oil is the ultimate for the price.  In the past, I’ve paid nearly 4x that for half the quantity and although not disappointed with my purchase, it wasn’t 4x as gorgeous… a simple example of not being able to ignore the economics.

I knew they’d be nothing to dislike about the Muscle Ease Body Massage Oil… I mean, a). it’s an oil and b). it’s in one of my favourite spicy scents ever… what’s not to like?  I was right and it is indeed awesome.

Energy Revive is also amazingly potent but I’m not a fan of the scent blend which I find a little too ‘kitchen fresh’ if that makes sense… I like citrus but this doesn’t hit the right notes for my taste.

Also, I’ve not been using these as massage oils… which is a bit naughty because I was sent these to review and if I don’t use them as massage oils, how can I review them as such?  Well… I can’t.  Because Mr. L attempted a massage on me and I wanted to divorce him before 5 minutes had passed.  Irritating, diggy knuckles, wouldn’tstoptalking.

No body product (even when it’s gratis) is worth 7 years of marriage, 11 years of dating and a heartbroken 2 year old, sorry Tisserand.

I have however been using these as body oils both before and after showering.  I slather on some of the Muscle Ease one before jumping in the shower and get a blast of intoxicating ginger, lemongrass and other lovely stuff as the room fills with steam.  Once the taps are off, I spread a little more onto my wet skin to lock in the moisture and spend the rest of the day wanting to lick myself.

So there we have it, a ginormous thumbs up for the Muscle Ease Body Massage Oil, a Jif lemon thrown at the Energy Revive one and a kick up the bum for Mr. L for being a crap masseur.

Tisserand Body Massage Oils are priced at £8.10 each and are available to purchase from some of those funny independent pharmacies, Whole Foods or online at Tisserand.com

I love your reviews, they’re refreshingly down to earth and honest. I really want to try the Muscle one, I love ginger scents too!

Have to agree with Sami above.
Some blogs that you read feel very clinical and heartless. But coming here and reading your reviews makes me feel like we’re the best of friends and are having an actual conversation.

The muscle ease sounds delicious. I might get some just for my legs (I always worry about putting oil anywhere else on my body owing to previous random breakouts)

It’s so amazing when you come to a fellow bloggers post and before you know it you’ve hit the bottom of the post and you think to yourself “THIS is why I follow this blog” I love the “actual conversation” feel you speak of. Also if your concerned about breakout. Try a test area on your legs: the outer part of your upper thigh (make sure its high enough in case you do break out and want to still be able to wear shorts)or the just below your under arm area on the part that rests against your chest…that way if there is any reaction it wont be noticeable and you can still wear summer wear

Or you can google what the first 5 ingredients of any product is and the possible side affects…the higher an ingredient is the more of it that the product is made of and the lower it is on the list the less there is in the product..

For example, when you pick up a shampoo and the first ingredient says :water, aqua

then that means its made up mostly of that. Usually color and parfum are least on the list and are one of the BIGGEST culprits for breakouts even with their small concentrations

    • That’s really kind of you thanks Sydney, I appreciate it xx

I must try the muscle ease bath oil due to CFS etc my muscles are in knots at the moment

hey there. just wanted to know if you were still on the c25k kick and if you thought that these might be something to use after. following your example, i started on c25k (long after you did) and am loving it – only on week 6, but my legs get a bit tight and i thought the oil might just help.

    sorry to be nosy.

oh, and love the eyeshadow – wish i could do it like you do – what about a lesson?

    • Hi Dee!

I am! I restarted it in March and have just about finished it (though I’ve been slacking this month due to a chest infection). The oil definitely helps (well, any oil for the lubrication to be honest). Glad you’re enjoying it, keep going… once you get past week 5 it’s awesome because you really feel like you’re running! Albeit very slowly in my case! xx

  5. Vijaya says:

I just tilted my head to the side and made my neck crack without trying. I could REALLY use a massage. xP

  6. Not going to lie, I’d just spray these all over my legs/use as a bath oil. Price isn’t bad, though! I’d consider picking these up.
