Giveaway! – CLOSED

Posted by Lipglossiping On September - 20 - 2009

Right, that’s it. I can’t be arsed to wait for my 100th follower – lagging behind like the LAZY mare she is.

So here’s my 99 followers giveaway extravaganza.

Please note…

~ You DON’T need to be a ‘follower’ to enter.  I love lurkers too, and anyway… If you’re gonna follow, It would make me happier to know it’s ‘cos you quite like my blog.

~ You WON’T get any extra entries by posting this on your blog.  You can if you want to, although personally I’d keep it to myself – more chance of winning that way 😉

This little giveaway (and it is little I’m afraid) is just my way of saying thanks for taking the time to read my rambling, incoherent and often self-indulgent nonsense.  This blog would be here with or without you, but it’s much more fun with you!

Onto the goodies!

One lucky winner will receive:

~ Maybelline XXL Curl Power Mascara in Power Black
~ PURE Lip Gloss in Peggy (What would my first giveaway be without a lipgloss eh?)
~ GOSH Nail Polish in Carmine (better pic here, your one is of course new and unopened – I’ve been scouring eBay for one for my giveaway ever since posting the original NOTD)
~ Body Shop  Home Fragrance Oil in Almond (I’m addicted to buying these things)
~ RUSK Hair Toggle thingy (gorgeous for Xmas, I actually bought this for myself.. and then cut my hair short a week later)

Hope it’s not too measley… I did consider giving away my new Helena Rubenstein Mascara set too… but came to my senses just in time.

Giveaway is OPEN internationally, and I will be closing it in 1 weeks time! 00:01 Sunday 27th September (GMT).

To enter, you need to make yourself useful… read on…

I have a £25 Topshop voucher burning a hole in my purse.  Great huh?  Only problem is, I’ve been OVER a size 16 for aslong as I can remember sooooo I dunno what to spend it on?

Leave a link showing what you’d buy IF you were me (no size 6 leopard print bikinis please or I’ll poke you in the eye. with a pencil.)  It can be upto £35, £40 if it’s REALLY nice.

1 entry per person and if you don’t have a blog… please leave your email address too.

It’s a win-win situation! Good luck!

How fun to shop for someone else!

Part of this depends on your shape – like I’m a 16 but really short, so something just don’t work. Here are my faves on a look through:

Shoulder Pad Tunic Top : kind of basic – like won’t go out of style tomorrow

Asymmetric Frill Zip Vest – Only if you really like trendy and the color pink

or shoes – really cute shoes!

  2. I really like your contest entry rules! It is very refreshing and clever!
I’m on my third contest and my rules have been different each time. I think I need to add some creativity next time.

    Great goodies you’ve posted here!

    Enter me please!!
You can never go wrong with a mega pair of heels from topshop, and it doesnt matter what size you are!! xxx

  4. Hola!

Great Giveaway and great idea, I enjoyed shopping for you! & If I had £25 for Topshop I’d be in the same situation as you with the being bigger than a size 16 thing (Evans & New Look Inspire FTW!)..

So, If I had £25.00 to spend on anything I liked in Topshop, This is what I’d get..

The Scarf because the cold winter months are closing in and this looks gorgeously warm and cosy. :) £10

The super cute Birdcage necklace because I just think it is sooo cute and different! It’s not something I would normally go for, but I fell in love with it when I came across it. £12

Oh, and these pretty earrings to match the necklace (They are both cold toned) and again, the earrings are cute and dainty and pretty too! £6

    ….. Total = 28.00 .. There! Only three sqid over :)

Me also being of the size 16+ brigade, and not having been in TopShop in decades as a result, would obviously look at the shoes. And, because I have enlarged nerves in one of my feet, I’d look at the *flat* shoes. And then I’d get depressed, because most shops these days think only two types of females wear flat shoes. 60 year old librarians, and 6 year old girls. Oh, the bows! Oh the pinkness! Oh the ruffles! Oh, the brogues … Oh save me.

    But …

It’s wrong of me to want these with every fibre of my being, isn’t it?

  6. Luce says:

I have since been informed that my shoe choice is disgusting. I do apologise.

  7. Emma says:

    I would buy this.

I have been over a size 16 and i never thought that was a reason not to buy nice clothes : )
I love this, its femine with a twist and will skim over a tum (which is what I need anyway)

  8. Hey girl! Enter me please.

So, I’m a size 16 too, 18 in some stores due to my over expanding boobs! I’ve never been really the right size to sop in Topshop but there is one thing you can’t go wrong with. Just had a quick look online, there are a few nice chunky cardis oversized ones which I wouldn’t mind, with this weather being how it is now, and accessories and bags etc are nice but I’ve always thought a little overpriced. Shoes however, shoes are my thing!

I want to buy these – gorgeous colour, look comfy enough, and studs are totally in right now!

Let us know what you get won’t you? Carla xx

  9. Cindy says:

Yay, I’m your 100th follower! I couldn’t very well let you stay stuck at 99. 😉

My pick is the Knitted Lace Trim Cardigan. I love the versatility of cardigans! My wardrobe just wouldn’t be the same without them.

  10. mizzworthy says:

Great idea – I’d love to enter, I’m a similar size but I have a huge arse, and big boobs, nowt will fit ma and I have little fashion sense at the moment lol – good luck to all the entrants ! xxx

  11. Helen says:

    Lovely giveaway!

Also I think you were sat by me at Illamasqua and I am now kicking myself for not saying hi. Tsk.

Now. I too last saw size 12 a loooong time ago and therefore I would flog the voucher to one of my skinny mates and get myself to Selfridges Beauty Mecca to splurge on nail polish and other goodies that make me FAR happier than comparing cellulite with giggly teenage girls in a 3 way mirror.

Perhaps not in the spirirt of things but it’s the truth!!

  12. It is so hard to pick out clothing for others so I am going to play it safe and go with accessories.

I love these ballet flats since they are practical and comfy, and metallics are in right now:

I also love these earrings as you can spice up a day look or wear them in the evening for glamour:

  13. Sophie says:

I say, why spend it in topshop, when you can spend it in any Arcadia store.. Like Evans or Dotty P’s or even Burtons or Wallis! :)

    lol xxx

  14. Rhamnousia says:

I second the top that Rowena chose, I may have to steal the voucher from you and buy it myself if you can’t find anything you like (it’s only fair!)

I’d go for some shoes or a bag but then those two items are my essentials and I find that Topshop do some rather nice shoes.

OR you could just spend the whole lot on sweeties :)

(Serious answer to come later if I can drag myself away from the tv)
