Have you been good this year? I have!
I’m heading to the in-laws over the festive period so I’m starting to wind my work down in preparation – hoorah! Alas, I haven’t bothered with a pretty tree or decorations this year as we won’t be here and there’s surely nothing more depressing than coming home from holiday and having to take down the Christmas tree before you’ve even had chance to put the kettle on.
How are your Christmas preparations coming along?
I’m heading to my parents house at the other end of the country this weekend and will be there for ten lovely days – can’t wait! I have to say, we haven’t bothered with decorations here either, there doesn’t seem much point when you’re not around for the actual day. I’m looking forward to seeing the big tree at the parent’s home though. Yes, I’m a big kid!
Me and the Mr are going back home (our parents live near each other). He finishes work on Friday, I have my work Xmas shindig which is in a fancy hotel from Monday-Wednesday. Then I’m back home to do my last minute Xmas food prep as I have to cook it.
I’ve been a very efficient Erica this year because I’ve bought all my pressies and wrapped them all up so I can relax a bit now, yay!
My husband and I are leaving in a few days to go visit his family for a week. I unfortunately have to work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and the day after Christmas, but oh well–such is life! Hope you enjoy your time with your in-laws 🙂

Oh well at least you won’t have to cook xmas dinner at your house then! We’re going to my dad’s- my sister and her hubby are home from Oz til the new year so gonna be lovely. We’ve got our xmas decs up, although you won’t believe how much trouble I’ve had trying to find card holders- this is where I miss Woolies!!!!
