Touted as the best priced cosmetics collection available in the country, Makeup Academy is set to launch exclusively at Superdrug this month!
The range includes lipsticks, glosses, eyeshadows, mascaras, eye liners, blush, powder and nail polish in shades from neutrals to brights and every shade in between.
I’m really excited to head down to Superdrug and pick some bits up… anything in the promo images caught your eye?

Ooo. Thanks for the heads up (sp?) My eye instantly got caught up by the purple tube (5th item from the left, on picture no.1) hoping this would be a bright purple gel eyeliner and I am already having high expectations of it. hahaha. And I also like the look of the same looking tube in light gold and dark gold. I hope this brand won’t finish like the playbox cosmetics rack at tj hughes (shambolic disgrace would be the word) but I can already predict this to be ravaged by teens and their hands full of fingers on them.
On this topic, would love to hear everyone’s recommendations on which superdrug store tends to be better kept than others. I’ve found personally that the main superdrug in Preston is pretty much immaculately kept at all times. The one in Manchester Piccadilly, on the other hands has let me down countless times.

Part of me wonders how it can possibly be any good at that price, but the magpie for bright colours that I am, and the budget I have to work on, I’m there already!!!
What strikes me most of all is how much more attractive this range looks than the promo’s I’ve seen of the new Top Shop range.

I’m loving the metallic green nail varnish and the single eyeshadows – I bought a black one and it’s an excellent eyeliner – very good pigment and not as much ‘drop’ as the sleek ones. So I’ve gone back for a dark purple and a dark green and they’re working well too. I find it good quality for the price.
