Palmolive have released a new duo of handwashes with a little twist of vintage flair. Admittedly not the most exciting of purchases but definitely one of those that I spend a little time on when in the supermarket.
If I’m going to be washing my hands X amount of times in the day… I want the process to not be too drying and above all, I want it to smell awesome.
I’ve been using a sample of the Bergamot & Verbena variety over the past few days which holds a lovely, zingy scent. Bergamot is a real favourite of mine (lavender, not so much) and Palmolive has captured the aromatics of the fruit nicely.
Ok, so it doesn’t quite lift me from the kitchen sink and place me in Southern Italy… but it does make scrubbing my hands an enjoyable experience!
The vintage styling touches on the bottle are cute without being twee and with both scents priced at £1.99 each for 250ml, they’re not asking me to pay through the nose for these extra touches of luxury.
The Palmolive Authentics Liquid Hand Soap range is currently available in Sainsburys and Waitrose.
The packaging caught my attention on these so I picked up Bergamot and Verbena and it is a lovely scent. If it could make ‘me feel like I was in Southern Italy whilst I washed my hands, that would be fab but one can only expect so much for £1.99!
Hello … I think I’ll be getting one of these soon. I’ve been in handwash hell … last time we were running out of handwash, my lovely husband was doing the grocery run, and picked up a jumbo size of some Tesco own brand harsh smelling, drying crap. It’s really nastily floral (in an unnatural, nose-burning cleaning product sort of way) and it feels like it’s pulling the moisture out of my hands. To be fair, he hates it just as much as I do … plus we’ve been stuck using it for a few months because we both hate wasting things.
But at last, we’re starting to run out. Relatively cheap semi-luxury handwash, here I come.
I like the sound of bergamot and verbana, and the packaging is quite nice. I like buying natural brand SLS free handwashes as my hands are very dry, but I get through them so quickly that it does get a bit costly.
i always have to have a good handwash in the house! especialy by the kitchen sink as people seem to like using up all the washing up liquid! lol, i love palmolive so im going to have to give these a try 🙂 gorgeous packaging 🙂

I can’t and won’t afford l’occitaine etc at the moment so these have come along at the right time. I’ve been using Marks and Spencer’s mandarin and yuzu (surely they made that bit up?) antibacterial handwash over the last few weeks and its really nice. Not drying and not over scented.
Must remember to have a whiff of these in the supermarket mmmm sound lovely xxx

Oh no it isn’t. Went into my local today and couldn’t find it. Don’t you just hate it when things are advertised but not yet in the shop 🙁 Is it because I live north of Watford?
