…my new Nails Inc. polishes!

I won these in LionLovingTiger‘s most fabulous giveaway

Look!

5 new Nail Polishes… 5 nails… it had to be done!

I’ve had a rocky start with Nails Inc. polishes.  I think that freebie I received with Instyle was a shocking bad advertisement for the Nails Inc. brand and nearly put me off trying any more.  I’m so glad I persisted now, they’ve become one of my favourite ranges.

Are there any brands that gave you a bad initial impression… only for you to grow to love them?

Do you even give brands second and third chances to impress you?

  1. Bloody hell… your application is perfect! They look fab on you… I reckon you should do the other hand to match 😉

Oh and have you been UD hauling on the fly?

    Tx

I TOLD you NI was good! Though they are being followed closely by Asda’s George polishes.

The one brand which turned me around was Biore. I bought their face wipes and they were horrible, stank like chemicals on the turn and stung the hell out of my skin. I bought Biore’s warming facewash and it’s a different story, nice natural smell of watermelon, clean, soft skin and it’s now my HG face wash.

    xx

Your nails are amazing – Mine look like they have been daubed on by afive year old lol – they are a beautiful shape and you have painted them perfectly! xxx

I recently bought a deep red colour from ‘Elegant Touch’, they do the false nails range. It was in my local chemist, and it was a bit of an impulse buy. It’s the best nail polish I’ve used, it’s been an entire week and I’ve had my first chip this morning! I’m dead impressed. I’m extremely heavy handed, and nail polish doesn’t usually last 2 days. For this to last a week is a pure miracle!

First, the images on your blog are so wonderful. So many beauty blogs have murky, dark images with product shots taken on a bed spread and what not! You’re are clear, high res, high detail and just the way images should be on a beauty blog!

And generally just like what you’re doing and saying. Great bit on Nails Inc. I think they have several marketing initiatives that do more harm than good but not sure why they continue to do them. In any event, had a very bad in-store experience with them once and haven’t gone back yet… maybe next time I’m in the UK.

Really like the Victoria but then I am partial to dark nails or just buffed nails and not much in between.

RE: brands I’ve given second chances to… not many, Actually, Benefit… I’ve gone off Benefit products but recently bought an Eraser Paste and use it every day now.

  8. @LionLovingTiger – thank you my lovely, I’m having so much fun playing with them! My other hand is still sporting the Asda grey, can’t believe the wear I’m getting out of it!

    UD Hauling? Pourquoi?

@Jo – Thank You! I do meticulous cleaning up after 😉 synthetic nail brush off ebay soaked with a decent nail polish remover goes a long way! And course I will *adds to the todo list*

@Rhamnousia – shutup knowitall… I don’t like the Biore warming one… and NO I’m not gonna change my mind a la Nails Inc. 😛

    @rijaH – Thanks!

  9. @Mizzworthy – Awww thank you, a bit of clean up goes a long way!! You like the shape of my nails?? I don’t! I want straight across ones…. but I can’t ‘cos I’m scared I’d keep catching Leila with a sharp edge if I filed them like that.

@Alicat – Really? I feel a new lemming ‘coming on!

@Jessica – Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment :)

I commented on the Mavala Lash post about my photos but you’re really kind and have made my day xx

I’ve never visited a Nails Inc nail bar… infact, I’ve only ever had one manicure the night before my wedding! Would love a bit of pampering.. but I have heard some dodgy things about Nails Inc nail bars so would be wary and your experience sounds like it would only add to that.

Victoria is lovely, although I have to say that out of the 5, it’s the first to chip one day into wear (yes, my left hand still looks like that!).

It’s funny you should mention Benefit!! That’s a brand I’m currently ‘off’… I decided they were all style and no content… but the Erase Paste and She-Laq are currently tempting me heavily!

Wow, these look stunning. I’ve yet to try Nails Inc products. I noticed next months Glamour mag has a freebie of theirs coming. Here’s hoping that a) I can get a couple as freebie issues seem to disappear off the shelves or have them ripped off the front and b) it’s a decent polish unlike the freebie you speak of.

  11. @Eliza – Yeah, the Instyle one earlier in the year was pretty poor show :( Hope this one is better – thanks for the heads up! xx
