The Selfridges’ Beauty Advent Calendar will be making a triumphant return this Christmas!
Each window houses Selfridges’ most popular beauty products in miniature! Who needs chocolate anyway?!
Mini presents include Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil, Lancôme Teint Miracle and Mini Juicy Tube, YSL Belle D’Opium, Kiehls Creme de Corps and Emporio Armani Diamonds.
The Advent calendars are priced at £70 each, are notoriously popular and sell out quickly.
I’m very tempted to start saving some pennies in a jar now, any number-heads know how much we’d need to squirrel away daily to come up with the £70 by October’s release?

It looks extrememly similar to last years? Possibly different perfumes, but otherwise almost identical!

Phwoar. I’ve actually never had an advent calendar, since my family don’t really go in for that kind of thing, but dang. That’s my kind of calendar xD Also, if we assume first of october release, I think you’d need to put away about 98p a day to make it! Or just put in a pound and buy yourself a teeny little something with the extra £1.40 =P

About 80p a day will do, depending in what time in October the release is. If it’s at the beginning of the month, save a quid a day already!

22-ish weeks til Xmas, makes about £3.20 a week to save roughly. It sounds SO reasonable when you put it like that!

Ahhhh I am so tempted this year! I definitely think it would make the month of December a lot more enjoyable
.
But like you mention I think I may need to start saving now as I don’t think I could justify that type of spend near Christmas on myself!

NNNNEEEEEEEDDDDDD! I remember seeing a Decleor version in a random shop in Oslo the year before last. It was so expensive (as Oslo is!) so I didn’t get one in the end. Kicked myself afterwards. Not going to miss out this time!! x

19-ish weeks until the end of November so that’s about £3.70 a week, or just over 50p a day

Or for the October release (assuming you want to have the money ready on the 1st) it’s about £4.70 a week, call it a fiver.

or I can’t calculate the difference between the beginning and the end of October, so it’ll be about a tenner a week. I’m rubbish!

Right, that’s it… I’ve decided. You lot are rubbish at maths by the way.
I’m gonna put aside £6 a week which means I’ll have £66 in 11 weeks time which will be the 6th October (I’m sure I can beg/steal or borrow the other £4 from Mr. L).
Like I said, you gotta be quick if you want one of these so there’s no point waiting till the end of November to buy it.
£6 a week is roughly two iced skinny hazelnut lattes, I shall have to make sacrifices for such a frivolous WANT.
Who’s with me?

Surely you should be contributing £4 and Mr L. should be generously donating the £66 because “You are worth it”

£70? it was lower last year, i think. I was planned to get it, but didn’t see it in store….sigh… but not sure whether there will be a better use of the £70. if there are better things to spend on, then definitely a pass.
