NEW! Tweezerman Safari Print “Cheetah” Slant Tweezers!

Posted by Lipglossiping On March - 14 - 2012

Listen up, ‘cos you’re about to learn something really important.  If you ever find yourself stranded in the wilds of Africa, you’ll thank your lucky stars that you read this post.

If you see a cheetah lurking in the bushes and he’s giving you the eye, run for the nearest tree.  If it’s a leopard, don’t.  Cheetah’s can’t climb… leopards actually like to drag their prey up the nearest tree, so you’d be doing half the hard work for him.

But how can you tell the difference between a leopard and a cheetah?  They’re both cat-like and spotty right?

Study.  Those are cheetah spots.  Or at least, they’re supposed to be.

BUT THEY’RE NOT!!!

As cute as those new Tweezerman tweezers undoubtedly are (you know how I love my wild prints!)… those are, in fact leopard spots.  For shame Tweezerman, you could’ve got a beauty blogger eaten in the wild!

Behold.

The cheetah (on the left) has oval, regular shaped spots whilst a leopard (on the right) has rosette shaped, irregular spots.  Now, you tell me… are those new tweezers leopard-print or cheetah-print?

Yeah, no need to thank me.  It’s all part of the service.  You wouldn’t get this in Cosmo.

.

Tweezerman Safari Print Cheetah *cough* Slant Tweezers are available from next month, priced at £22.00

p.s. I really love my Tweezerman wide grips, I’d even take them on safari with me to catch mosquitos a la Mr. Miyagi – sort of.

Lol! Educational and informative! You’d think they would get the basic right! 🙂

  2. Sydney says:

Hahahaha. They really should have someone on their team that would have noticed the print style was wrong, it just looks (and sounds) stupid.

Not being a massive print fan myself I think I’ll give these a miss.

    😛 It’s a good question.

  6. Those are adorable! And great way to introduce them – v. creative! I have a pair of purple and white polka dotted Tweezerman tweezers, but maybe it’s time to start a collection? hahah 🙂

Ah, I don’t mean to be a stick in the mud, but I think you may have your “climb” and “don’t climb” labels backwards. 🙂

    • Don’t try and confuse my puny brain! Cheetah on the left, Leopard on the right. Cheetahs don’t climb trees ergo you should Climb! the tree. Leopard on the right, leopard’s climb trees ergo you Don’t Climb! the tree.

      Clear as mud?

  12. Sabrae says:

Oh! I thought you were saying the cheetah climbs and the leopard does not. My brain must be filled with mud today. 😉

    Brilliant!

tweezerman is a good product but we assure that there are so many other brands coming up in India as after tweezerman which are with economical cost and good quality http://www.cealinetweezers.com is one example of that if someone wants to compare the quality please visit the store and buy something for trial

There is a substantial difference between both even in body shape, it is HIGHLY unlikely a cheetah would attack a human, we are too big for them to eat fast enough before hyenas and other bigger, sturdier predators come. They chase smaller prey, which is quick on its feet in the savanna, hence their evolution. Sure they might attack a child, but it’s not like a good idea to take out a child in the wilderness in the first place, let alone leave it unwatched.
In the photo, I think the cat on the right is actually a jaguar, they are marks that make rosettes with a brown tint in them, not plain spots. Jaguar can also climb, but they’re found in South America, not Africa.
Leopards are ambush predators, so we would actually be easy prey for them, but still we have hands, two free limbs with which we can resist and fight, not something a predator would like, they are opportunists, they will go for the easiest catch, not the creature that’s twice as tall as them. Yes, they do bring up their catch onto trees, but that’s to make their reward unaccessible to scavengers(mostly hyenas). And also if you don’t move quickly, predators’ instincts start getting confused, and they will understand that you aren’t prey.
