NARS AW/10 Marc Jacobs Runway Look ‘attempt’

Posted by Lipglossiping On February - 21 - 2010

So, you know I kinda fell in love with this slightly ‘dirty’ look from NYFW, I had a go at re-creating it last night.  It’s simple, but too easy to go overboard.  Half the reason the original looks so fab is probably because of Freja Beha’s amazing bone structure anyway.

It’s not BAD bad… but it’s far too heavy (as I knew it would be).

Do you ever attempt to recreate looks from face charts and the like?

Looks WOW on you, love the eyes.would have been more WOW if lips were little paler and matt :) smoky look suits you :)

  6. It looks great on you, really smokey and sultry.

I’ve always wanted to try out a facechart, but have never had the balls to. I always look at the promo shots for the MAC Colour Ready collection (I think that’s what it was?) and would love to recreate that eye but I would fail epically.

I think it looks amazing on you! Not too heavy at all.
Actually, would you mind listing the products used and a little bit about how you did it? I never attempt to recreate face charts, but I do attempt to recreate stuff I see on other people on the internets. 😉

phwoarrr hello there, how are youuuuuuuu doing
    oozes with sexyness.
darker than the model but I prefer this to the model and face chart.
this smokey combination brings out a different shade to your eyes I had never seen before. What did Mr L had to say about this look? 😉 Much prefer your lip colours too, the model’s were a bit too nude for my liking. In fact, put it bluntly I found that the model looks a bit scruffy, sienna miller type of deal. You just added a whole new dimension to it and it is gorgeous.

  14. Sophie says:

I don’t think it’s too heavy, you look gorge! x

  15. Lizzard says:

    *gasp*

Your skin looks flawless in this photo and I like the dark eyes on you, they really work.

I’ve been meaning to get my arse in gear and do my face charts but for some reason I never get around to it, must make more effort!

  17. Rae says:

Well, *I* think you’re looking amazing! If you ask me, the biggest difference between how this looks on you and how this looked on the model is that she looked a little malnourished, whereas you just look hot.

    Anyhow. I love it!

  18. mayrei says:

It looks great and not too heavy at all. I wish I could get a similar look, but it always ends up looking like someone punched me in both eyes.

  19. Arianne says:

I agree with everyone here; I think it looks fantastic on you! It doesn’t look heavy at all. :) I wore a similar smudgy look a few days ago. As much as I love the defined eyes, I really hate the cleanup at the end of the day. It’s too dark, and too much work. :(

  20. Redtiger21 says:

Definitely, definitely looks lovely on you- not too heavy at all!!! Soft and smoky and smudgy. Fab.
